How to Configure Apple Music Lossless on Windows

Historically, Windows users had a difficult time streaming high-quality audio from Apple. The older iTunes for Windows app did not support lossless audio and was limited to lossy AAC playback. Fortunately, Apple has released a dedicated Apple Music app for Windows (available in the Microsoft Store), which brings native support for ALAC and lossless playback.
