🎧 TOZO HA1 – Real-Life Testing Results & Experience Breakdown

Before diving deeper into the specs and features, let us share our hands-on testing experiences. We tried the TOZO HA1 in various real-life scenarios for over four months — and the results might surprise you!

🗣️ Microphone Testing
The HA1’s built-in mic delivers surprisingly crisp and clear voice pickup — even from a regular speaking distance. You don’t need to lean in or speak loudly. We tested it via Bluetooth, and the recording quality was impressive.
🎙️ Listen to our TOZO HA1 mic test in the below.

📚 Reading Room Test
In a quiet reading environment, the HA1 performs well. It blocks ambient whispers and most background noise. However, you might still notice subtle ceiling fan sounds. Still, it’s not distracting — in fact, it helps with prolonged focus during study or reading sessions.

🛏️ Bedtime Use
HA1 isn’t exactly bedtime-friendly. Due to its over-ear design, it feels bulky when lying down. If you’re looking for a sleep-time companion, open-ear buds like TOZO Open Buds would be a better choice.

🚴 Cycling Experience
We don’t recommend using HA1 while cycling. It offers strong noise isolation, which could block out important ambient sounds like horns or traffic. Also, during warmer days, it tends to cause sweating around the ears.

🛍️ Shopping Mall Test

The HA1 performs well in air-conditioned shopping malls, offering good passive noise isolation thanks to its over-ear design. However, in warmer environments, the closed-back earcups may cause heat buildup and sweating, which could lead to some discomfort during long sessions. It’s more enjoyable in cooler indoor areas.

🎮 Gaming Time
We tested HA1 with games like Air Assault and Clash of Clans. The sound was immersive and clean. There’s low latency, and directional audio cues are distinct — not bad for casual gaming!

🌧️ Rain & Water Exposure

We haven’t tested the TOZO HA1 in rainy conditions or around water. Unlike some sports earbuds, the HA1 isn’t marketed as water-resistant or waterproof. So, it’s best to avoid moisture and splashes to ensure long-term durability. Always store it in a dry place and keep it away from humid environments.

🧘 Meditation Mode
This is one of the HA1’s most pleasant use cases. Thanks to its balanced tuning and soft ear padding, it’s great for focus, relaxation, or meditation. We tested it during several extended sessions — no pressure, no fatigue, just pure immersive audio. While it doesn’t feature ANC, the passive noise isolation is decent enough to create a peaceful listening environment.

However, if meditation is your primary focus and you want even better noise isolation and comfort, the TOZO HT2 is worth considering. Its plush earcups and superior passive noise blocking help you dive deeper into calm and mindfulness. Plus, the HT2 offers a balanced sound profile and longer battery life, making it a strong contender for meditation within a similar budget.

📊 Sound Level (dB) Test Results
Using a standard dB meter app, here are our results at 50% volume while playing Faded by Alan Walker:

MINAVGMAX
47dB57dB72dB

📌 Note: These results are approximate. Actual readings may vary depending on your environment and device.

You can try it yourself! Download a Sound Meter app, play your favorite track, and check the readings.

📲 TOZO App Integration

Yes, HA1 supports the TOZO Sound App. You can customize EQ settings, switch ANC modes, and check battery life directly through the app.
🔗 Android: TOZO Sound – Google Play
🔗 iOS: TOZO – App Store

🖼️ Check out screenshots of key features like EQ presets, firmware updates, and battery percentage inside the app section above!

⏱️ Sound Delay Test
We tested audio latency with several video and music apps — result? No noticeable delay. Audio synced perfectly. Smooth performance all around.

📞 Ringtone Behavior
An odd but fun observation: When connected via Bluetooth, incoming calls don’t play your phone’s set ringtone. Instead, you’ll hear a generic ringtone from the headset that sounds like an old-school telephone!

🎻 Classical Music Vibes
We tested classical tracks in ANC mode and — no joke — one of our team members literally fell asleep! That’s how calming and rich the HA1’s output can be. It’s a solid companion for stress relief and deep rest.

🌞 TOZO Logo Reflection
When outdoors, the TOZO logo on the earcups catches sunlight and reflects subtly, giving it a premium, stylish look. A nice little design touch that stands out.

🏞️ Open Field & Lakeside
In peaceful open-air environments, the HA1 gives an immersive soundstage. We recommend turning on ANC mode to block even the smallest distractions like birds or distant chatter. Perfect for mindful walks or lakeside solitude.

🌿 Lawn Mower Test
Yes, we even used the HA1 while mowing the lawn! With ANC turned on and volume set above 50%, we only heard minimal engine rumble. If you’re into yard work or live in a noisy neighborhood — this one’s got your back.

🔊 Volume Boost Tip
For maximum isolation (without needing a noise-proof room), we suggest keeping the volume at 50% or higher. That’s the sweet spot for immersive sound with excellent clarity.

👓 Glasses Compatibility
Wearing HA1 with glasses? No worries — the padded earcups are flexible and soft enough to avoid pressure. None of our testers felt discomfort, even during extended use.

💦 Sweating Issues
Let’s be real: if you’re using HA1 in a hot and humid place, sweating around the ears is inevitable. It’s one of the few downsides of its over-ear design, especially for long sessions in warm weather.

💇 Hair Compatibility Check
We tried HA1 on different hairstyles — short, medium, and long. The headband sits comfortably in all cases, but if you have very thick or voluminous hair, you may need minor adjustments for the perfect seal and fit.

That wraps up our real-world testing log for the TOZO HA1. From study halls to mowing lawns, this headset shows off its versatility and comfort in a wide range of use cases. Stay tuned for our upcoming comparison with the TOZO HT2!

🔍 First Impressions & Unboxing

Out of the box, the HA1 makes a clean first impression. TOZO has clearly paid attention to the presentation. Inside the box, you get:

  • TOZO HA1 headphones (foldable design)
  • USB-C charging cable
  • 3.5mm audio cable (for wired use)
  • User manual

Right away, the lightweight yet sturdy build stands out. The ear cups swivel and fold, making them ideal for travel or everyday carry.

I genuinely fell in love with the TOZO HA1’s packaging — it was love at first sight. The presentation is simple yet premium. The box comes in a sleek square shape, wrapped in clear polythene, and slides out smoothly like a giant matchbox. The clean white surface paired with bold silver text gives it a minimalist yet classy look. There’s also a QR code included to verify the product’s authenticity.

🎧 Design & Build Quality

The TOZO HA1 leans toward a modern minimalistic aesthetic – matte black with subtle branding. The padding on the earcups is soft and breathable, and the headband has just enough flex to feel secure without being tight.

Pros:

  • Lightweight at just ~237g
  • Foldable & travel-friendly
  • Soft protein leather earpads
  • Well-placed physical buttons

Cons:

  • All-plastic construction (though decent quality)
  • No water resistance rating

Still, for under $40? The design feels solidly above average.

🔊 Sound Quality
Here’s where the TOZO HA1 surprises. Powered by 40mm titanium-coated drivers and enhanced with TOZO’s ORIGX 2.0 technology, the sound is balanced yet punchy, with a wider-than-expected soundstage for closed-back headphones.

Bass:
Rich and thumpy, not overwhelming. Ideal for pop, EDM, and hip-hop.

Mids:
Vocals are clear and forward. Podcasts and acoustic tracks shine.

Highs:
Slight roll-off to avoid harshness – smooth rather than sharp.

You also get 16 built-in EQ modes accessible through the TOZO app, allowing for serious sound customization. ORIGX 2.0 ensures better vocal positioning and spatial clarity, especially in mids and highs.Sure! Here’s a polished, engaging version of your paragraph about the TOZO App, written in a natural and attractive tone:

📱 TOZO App – Your Sound, Your Way
In today’s headphone world, a companion app is no longer just a bonus — it’s a necessity. The TOZO Sound app elevates the HA1 experience, unlocking full control over EQ presets, firmware updates, noise-canceling modes, and more.

No need to over-explain what a great app does — just download it, explore, and let the sound speak for itself.

🖼️ Check out a few screenshots below to see what you’re in for!

🔋 Battery Indicator – Stay Powered, Always
One small feature that makes a big difference is the real-time battery indicator built into the TOZO HA1 and its companion app. Whether you’re mid-commute, in a long Zoom meeting, or deep into a playlist, you’ll never be caught off guard by a dead battery again.

The TOZO app shows your current battery percentage clearly, helping you plan your charging routine smartly. Simple, useful, and essential — just the way a modern headphone should be.

📱 Connectivity & Controls

The HA1 uses Bluetooth 5.4, which is not only rare at this price but also improves range, stability, and power efficiency. We had no dropouts within a 10-meter radius, even with walls in between.

Features include:

  • Low-latency mode (~78ms) – useful for gaming or watching videos
  • Dual device pairing (switch between phone/laptop easily)
  • Wired mode via 3.5mm cable

Physical buttons on the earcup let you control volume, tracks, calls, and EQ settings without touching your phone.

🔋 Battery Life

This is where the HA1 dominates.

TOZO claims up to 70 hours of playback – and in our testing at ~60% volume, it really did last close to that.

Quick highlights:

  • ~75 hours wireless playback (50% volume)
  • 2 hours for full charge (USB-C)
  • ~10 hours from a quick 10-minute top-up

For travelers, commuters, or anyone who forgets to charge often – this is a massive win.

📞 Call Quality & Microphone

While there’s no Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) for listening, the HA1 does feature ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) for calls. That means your voice stays clear while background noise is suppressed.

In real-world tests (busy street, coffee shop), callers reported minimal background noise and good vocal clarity. It’s definitely good enough for Zoom calls or voice chats.

🎮 Gaming & Video Sync

If you’re a casual gamer or love binge-watching, the low latency mode helps keep audio-video in sync. We tested it with YouTube, Netflix, and mobile games like Call of Duty Mobile – and there was minimal delay.

📱 TOZO App Integration

The TOZO app (available on iOS & Android) adds major value here.

You can:

  • Choose from preset EQ profiles
  • Fine-tune bass, mids, and treble
  • Toggle low-latency mode
  • View battery percentage

Many headphones at this price skip app support entirely – but TOZO delivers a full ecosystem.

🔄 TOZO HA1 vs TOZO HT2 – Which Should You Buy?

If you’re stuck between the HA1 and the more premium HT2, here’s a quick comparison to help you decide:

FeatureTOZO HA1TOZO HT2
Price Range$25–$35$50–$65
Driver Type40mm Titanium Drivers40mm Dynamic Drivers

Verdict:

  • Choose HA1 if you want amazing battery, lightweight design, and great sound on a budget.
  • Choose HT2 if you need ANC, premium materials, and deeper sound detail.

✅ Final Verdict: Is the TOZO HA1 Worth It?

Absolutely. At this price, the TOZO HA1 is a no-brainer for budget-conscious music lovers. It nails the basics — and even throws in extras like app control, low latency, and ridiculous battery life.

Who It’s For:

  • Students, commuters, and office users
  • Travelers who value long battery life
  • Anyone who wants solid wireless sound under $40

Who It’s Not For:

  • ANC-seekers (go for the HT2)
  • Audiophile purists (though they’ll still be impressed)
